FAQs

What time should I arrive to my appointment?

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment time so you have time to discuss the intake form and get settled. To ensure your full time on the table, please fill out all forms prior to the appointment time.

Does Massage Eliminate Pain?

Massage therapy aids in relieving pain, however, it may or may not eliminate pain all together. Gentle, moderately pressured, non-specific massage therapy has been shown to comfort and alleviate those experiencing acute pain. If received consistently, massage modalities such as manual lymph drainage, acupressure, and myofascial techniques improves the quality of life for those suffering from chronic pain.

Can I talk during my massage?

It is your choice to talk to your therapist or remain quiet throughout your session.  Your therapist will follow your lead and mirror your decision.  There are times that your therapist may need to  speak to you to have you reposition, request feedback on pressure, or explain a finding.
*I treat all client visits and conditions as confidential.

How should I dress?

Many guests choose to disrobe completely, whereas others prefer to leave their undergarments on. When working on the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back it is easier to assess and treat without underwear.  These areas can be skipped over or worked on with body weight compressions. It’s completely a matter of personal preference. Either way, I am professionally trained to keep your body entirely covered throughout the massage—aside from the area being worked on—to ensure your privacy.
